This work continues my theme of the devastated landscape caused by man’s exploitative greed, with very little thought given to the destruction caused to our planet and its long term effects.
The paintings also push my own boundaries, in two cases using large, un-stretched grounds, including a work on jute, the third on rusted steel with vibrant oil colours.
Each work is inspired by my memories of places to which I have been including the Canadian prairies, the Namibian desert and Antarctica.
